Mischief Off Road

Mason's Story

For the past four years, I’ve raced with factory teams, but I’ve learned that I perform at my best when I’m in control of my own program. When I can decide how my bike is set up, when parts are replaced, and how my equipment is managed, I’m able to push for real results. Factory programs don’t always allow that freedom, and after trying to find my place inside those systems, I realized I needed to take a different path.

Stepping away and racing as a privateer is my chance to show what I’m capable of. I know I can compete at the highest level with the right equipment and the right people around me. My dad and my friend Felipe will be with me every step of the way — in the pits, in the bivouac, and through every challenge that comes with rally racing. We’re building this effort from the ground up, doing things our way, and proving that determination and preparation can stand shoulder‑to‑shoulder with factory support.

I’m a 25‑year‑old American trying to make it in a sport that isn’t huge in the U.S., racing against some of the biggest teams in the world. Dakar is the pinnacle — the Olympics of motorsports — broadcast globally and organized by the same group behind the Tour de France. This is where the best riders in the world show what they’re made of. And this is where I’m determined to prove that I belong.

I also want to thank Mischief Off Road — not just for standing behind me as a sponsor, but for creating the opportunity for this collection. It means a lot to have a brand believe in what I’m building and give me a way to share my journey with the people who follow my racing. Having Mischief Off Road in my corner makes this next chapter even more meaningful.
